BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- China is likely to unveil the 13th Five-Year Plan on big data industry in 2016, reported the Xinhua-run www.cnstock.com, quoting insiders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Wednesday.
The plan, as guidance in the data technology (DT) era, involves driving applications of big data in industrial research and development, manufacturing and the whole industrial chain, as well as supporting the service industry to establish brand, conduct precision marketing and provide individualized service.
"It means that big data industry can work with other industries like service and manufacturing to form 'big data plus'," explained insiders.
The magic of big data industry lies in that it can create new value by integrating various kinds of data, noted Du Xiaojun, co-founder of Runup (Group) Co.
Statistics showed that market scale of China's big data industry is expected to reach 248.5 billion yuan by the end of 2016 and may hit a record high of 1.3626 trillion yuan by 2020.
Essence Securities estimated that the most valuable resource in the future is data. The companies have their own data or can provide big data analysis are worthy of attention.
