BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued the Guidance on Boosting Standardized Development of Chemical Industrial Parks, the Xinhua-run cnstock.com reported on Friday.
According to industry insiders, the new document will create about 400 billion yuan of demands for mechanical equipment and 60-80 billion yuan of demands for information reconstruction.
China ranks the first in the world by major dangerous chemical output. Statistics show the country produced 88.46 million tonnes of sulfuric acid, 30.59 million tonnes of caustic soda, 25.14 million tonnes of sodium carbonate and 57.45 million tonnes of synthesis ammonia in 2014.
According to the MIIT, the investment in relocation and reconstruction of China's dangerous chemical industry will amount to more than 800 billion yuan. (Edited by Li Xiaoyu, Lixy@xinhua.org)
