Nanbao Mountain is located in Tiantai Mountain Tourism Ring Road area, along peripheral conservation area of Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuary.

Nanbao Mountain is the ideal outdoor experience and leisure resort. Here, the main tourist resources include Baizhu Mountain Grand Canyon, Jiangjun Temple Cave Cluster, Jiangjun Temple Forest Park, Jiuding Mountain, Salt Mine Hot Spring, Yulin Mountain, Mituo Temple (built in 1413), natural funnel of Wanfo Peak, City Gatehouse-Swallow Hole Cave Cluster, Yuantong Bridge (with a steel cable length of 120 meters and height of 90 meters), as well as Jinhua Village, Muti Village.

Some places including Zhitai Village and other tourist destinations were newly built after "May 12 Wenchuan Earthquake".
