BEIJING, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Corporation of China completed power supply operations for the 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit in Wuzhen, east China’s Zhejiang Province, on Thursday, deploying 665 personnel and 15 emergency power generation vehicles to ensure uninterrupted electricity for the three-day event.
The grid company used AI-powered monitoring systems across its transmission, distribution, and consumption networks for the first time. The “transparent grid” initiative integrated 31 key power supply nodes, 12 substations, 42 transmission lines, and 59 distribution stations into a unified command platform enabling real-time visualization and remote control.
This marked State Grid’s 13th consecutive year powering the Wuzhen summit, with the protection model evolving from manual operations to a digitized and intelligence-driven framework.
The company will continue to invest in smart grid technology to contribute to the construction of a new-type power system in China, and to cultivate new quality productive forces in the digital domain. Enditem
