BEIJING, Sept. 28 (Xinhua Silk Road) -- By the end of August, publicly offered funds in China managed in total 39.63 trillion yuan of assets, reported Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily on Monday.
Compared with July, the August data released by the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC) showed a 1.35-percent rise, as the number of publicly offered funds increased by 117 to 14,585.
In terms of product structure, the monthly expansion was mainly driven by growth in the assets of hybrid funds and money market funds, which expanded by more than 250 billion yuan and nearly 150 billion yuan respectively.
Since September 2024, the total assets of publicly offered funds in China have been on an upward trend, exceeding 36 trillion yuan in August 2025 and 39 trillion yuan in April 2026.
By the end of August, publicly offered fund management institutions in China numbered 165, including 150 fund management firms and 15 asset management institutions with publicly offered fund management qualifications. (Edited by Duan Jing with Xinhua Silk Road, duanjing@xinhua.org)
