Chinese goods, services exhibition kicks off in Belarus

MINSK, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Exhibition of Chinese Goods and Services (Belarus) 2026 officially opened Wednesday at the International Exhibition Center in the capital of Belarus, Minsk.

The event runs from Wednesday to Friday, covering an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters and focusing on multidimensional cooperation in trade, industry and technology, leveraging the opportunity presented by the "Year of China-Belarus Industrial Cooperation."

More than 120 companies from China and Belarus are participating in the exhibition, showcasing products across key sectors such as automobiles and components, high-end intelligent equipment, precision machine tools, new energy technology, and medical devices.

In his opening speech, Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov said the friendly relations between China and Belarus provide a solid foundation for cooperation in the industrial sector. The complementary strengths in production capacity and technological innovation between the two countries would lead to tangible collaborative outcomes, he added.

The exhibition serves not only as a platform for showcasing products but also as a venue for dialogue and establishing long-term business relationships, fostering a favorable environment for investment, cooperation, and innovative development between the two nations, Kuznetsov said.

Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan said that after years of development, the exhibition has become a window for Chinese enterprises to showcase quality products and expand their market presence in Belarus, as well as an important bridge for face-to-face communication and establishing long-term commercial ties between Chinese and Belarusian companies.

Zhang urged both sides to seize opportunities and actively align their development strategies to inject new momentum into bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Song Zhiming, vice president of the China Machinery Industry Federation, said the federation plans to work with Belarus to establish multi-layered and multi-field cooperation platforms, creating a stable and efficient industrial supply chain that benefits both nations.

This year's exhibition is organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation and marks the fifth edition of the event, which first took place in 2019.
