BRITACOM hosts series of events in Munich, Germany

Abstract : From 25 to 26 June 2026, the BRITACOM, jointly with the Federation of German Industries (BDI), hosted a series of hybrid offline-and-online events in Munich, Germany. The event package covered three core sessions: the BRITACOM Advisory Board Meeting, the Second 2026 Launch Event of Tax Administration Product Portfolio (TAPP) and Taxpayer Service Product Portfolio (TSPP) Products, as well as the Germany–China Tax Administration Theme Day Event.

From 25 to 26 June 2026, the BRITACOM, jointly with the Federation of German Industries (BDI), hosted a series of hybrid offline-and-online events in Munich, Germany. The event package covered three core sessions: the BRITACOM Advisory Board Meeting, the Second 2026 Launch Event of Tax Administration Product Portfolio (TAPP) and Taxpayer Service Product Portfolio (TSPP) Products, as well as the Germany–China Tax Administration Theme Day Event.

The BRITACOM Advisory Board Meeting was convened on 25 June. Attended by members of the BRITACOM Advisory Board and global tax experts, the session featured in-depth brainstorming and extensive exchanges around five priority agenda items: the development of TAPP and TSPP, quality upgrading and international influence building of Belt and Road Initiative Tax Journal (BRITJ), improvement of the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Capacity Enhancement Group (BRITACEG), preparation progress of the 7th Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Forum (BRITACOF), and long-term institutional improvement of BRITACOM. Drawing on diverse tax governance practices, experts shared insightful proposals centering on high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. Their professional input offers solid intellectual support to advance pragmatic cross-border tax collaboration and secure sustained, sound development of BRITACOM.

The Second 2026 Launch Event of TAPP and TSPP Products was convened on 26 June under the theme of "Building a Harmonious Tax Administration Relationship". Around 200 participants joined the session online and offline, including BRITACOM Member Tax Administrations, Observers, Advisory Board members, TAPP and TSPP Working Group members, and business delegates from China and Germany. At the opening, the BRITACOM Secretariat briefed attendees on the overall progress of the products. Working Group members elaborated on four newly released products covering design logic, functional advantages and real-world application scenarios: Efficient Tax Payment and Tax Refund, Strengthening the Management of Tax Arrears and Guaranteeing the Collection of Taxes, Strategies and Practices for Resolving Tax Disputes in Advance, and Accompanying Entrepreneurs: Nurturing Growth with Premium Services. Representatives from Hungary, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal, Saudi Arabia shared country-specific implementation experiences. Experts from Asia Oceania Tax Consultants' Association (AOTCA), Federation of German Industries (BDI), International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC), Huawei, International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) and China National Software & Service Co., Ltd also delivered presentations, introducing international best practices on boosting voluntary tax compliance and safeguarding tax data security, alongside unique perspectives on fostering harmonious tax relations.

The Germany–China Tax Administration Theme Day Event was convened on 26 June, gathering nearly 250 participants online and offline, comprising officials from Bavarian State Ministry of Finance, Local Tax Office Munich, BDI, Bavarian Industry Association, the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Consulate-General in Munich, State Tax Administration of China (STA) plus German and Chinese corporate representatives, and BRITACOM Member Tax Administration, Observers, and Advisory Board members. Officials from Bavarian State Ministry of Finance, Local Tax Office Munich outlined Germany's tax framework and focused on tax audit practices. BDI and Bavarian Industry Association delegates showcased industry association initiatives to support business growth. STA China representatives delivered detailed briefings covering China's tax treaty network, Sino-German tax agreement provisions, tax incentives for opening-up, smart tax construction and achievements of the cross-border tax service brand TaxExpress. A lively Q&A session followed. German tax officials responded to Chinese enterprises' inquiries on German tax compliance rules and permanent establishment profit allocation standards; Chinese tax officials addressed questions regarding EU-China tax cooperation and deductibility principles of royalties for multinationals. This Theme Day Event serves as a vital communication bridge between tax authorities and businesses, enabling enterprises on both sides to better grasp tax policies and manage cross-border tax risks, laying a solid foundation for stable, healthy Sino-German economic and trade ties.

The three events brought together tax officials, industry leaders and academic specialists from multiple jurisdictions, deepening multilateral tax exchange, showcasing BRITACOM's tangible intellectual products and reinforcing Sino-German bilateral tax dialogue. Moving forward, BRITACOM will continue to leverage such platforms to advance inclusive international tax cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.
