MADRID, June 30 (Xinhua) -- The First Hispano-Chinese Legal Cooperation Forum has brought together more than 100 representatives from the political, legal, law enforcement and academic sectors of China and Spain to discuss immigration law, bilateral legal cooperation, and efforts to combat fraud and hate crimes.
During the forum held on Monday at the Spanish Congress of Deputies in Madrid, Spain's Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz Delgado, said in a video address that the initiative would help safeguard migrants' rights, promote social integration and foster a more inclusive society.
Qu Xun, minister at the Chinese Embassy in Spain, said growing exchanges between China and Spain have made legal services and compliance increasingly important. Practical legal resources would help Chinese nationals and businesses better integrate into Spanish society and prevent legal risks, he added.
The forum featured two panel discussions on legislative and judicial experience in combating fraud, as well as hate crime prevention and anti-discrimination governance. Participants included representatives from the General Council of the Judiciary, the National Police, the Civil Guard, the Office of the Prosecutor General and the National Office for Combating Hate Crimes of the Interior Ministry.
The event also marked the launch of Practical Manual on Immigration Law: Regulations, Changes and Opportunities, a bilingual Chinese-Spanish handbook published by the Association of Chinese Lawyers in Spain (ACDSpain), which is also the organizer of the forum.
