Across Africa, Chinese engineering machinery manufacturers are proactively deepening participation in local development via green, smart product supply, full-chain services and localization at present.

As a pacesetter in "going global" among central China's Hunan Province-based enterprises, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (Zoomlion) has been profoundly involved in exploring the African market.
In April this year, the company put into operation its subsidiary in Casablanca, Morocco to shape a pivotal regional hub to delve deeper into the North African market.
By integrating localized sales, services and technologies, Zoomlion widely participated in construction of key projects in different sectors in Morocco, said Liu Jianqiang, market director of Zoomlion, adding that the company's agricultural machinery also entered local market.
For years, its supply of green, smart engineering machinery featuring high efficiency and low energy consumption to the African market and localized service networks helped facilitate local infrastructure and industrial upgrading.
In 2025, Zoomlion's revenues from the African market skyrocketed over 157 percent year on year.
Another Hunan-based company, SANY Group, is another active player in signature projects construction in Africa, contributing to local development with full-chain services.
Currently, SANY Group has 24 subsidiaries in Africa, selling engineering machinery and new energy equipment such as wind power devices and energy storage products to more than 50 African countries and regions.
While exporting quality machinery and equipment, SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., an affiliate of SANY Group, also provides localized operation, maintenance and technological support for African clients, noted Tong Jie, the company's international marketing manager.
In mid-June, SANY Group, Zoomlion and other Chinese equipment producers from Hunan Province took part in the Morocco session of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo held in Casablanca, the largest city of Morocco.
As Tong introduced, SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. leveraged participation of the expo to upscale its business layout in North Africa and is devoting itself to fostering mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation with African partners.
During the event, an importer in Morocco expressed his satisfaction over the quality and performance of advanced agricultural machinery from China, saying that Morocco is a promising market with huge potential.
Organized by the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and Morocco's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the 3-day event contained multiple thematic activities to further China-Africa cooperation across related industrial chains.
