BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The 500kV transmission line project from Taizhou Binhai to Baishu was recently put into operation in east China's Zhejiang Province, enhancing the power supply capacity of the coastal city Taizhou in the province.
As the 140-kilometer power line crosses the core of ecological control area near the Jiaojiang River, one of the longest rivers in the province, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Supply Company adhered to the concept of green construction and adopted ecological isolation protection and low-impact construction techniques to minimize the project's impact on the river ecosystem.
