As a key part of the 2026 Global South Financiers Forum which was held from March 25 to 26, the exhibition focuses on key issues of global concern including economic transformation and sustainable development. It features 13 outstanding cases of green development, aiming to provide insights and ideas for countries seeking to address green development challenges, drive industrial transformation and upgrading, and achieve shared prosperity, while also exploring new pathways for Chinese enterprises going global.
In recent years, under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), numerous Chinese technologies, standards, equipment, and development experiences have rapidly transformed into shared developmental achievements across countries. These replicable and scalable "Chinese Solutions" have accumulated valuable experience in actively promoting environmental protection, social development, and risk management.

After observing the exhibition areas, Balew Demissie, communication and publication consultant at the Policy Studies Institute of Ethiopia, said that the increasingly severe global environmental challenges are profoundly impacting human survival and development. The solutions showcased in the exhibition genuinely offer pathways to address many practical dilemmas faced by Global South countries.

Many developing countries are rich in resources but are also prone to following traditional, highly destructive development paths, said Jose Luis Barcelo Mezquita, editor-director of El Mundo Financiero, adding that the "sustainability solutions" offer an optimal choice that promotes development without harming the environment.
Renato Balderrama, a professor at Center for Research and Teaching of Economics from Mexico, said that the exhibition conveys a clear and powerful message that China focuses on development, environmental protection, and improving people's livelihoods, while also sharing technology and knowledge.

He pointed out that pollution is a significant issue for Mexico, and the advanced technology offered by China is a crucial tool to address this challenge. "Cooperation with China in this field is vital," he said.
The Sustainability Solutions Showcase (Season 1) is open until April 24 at the National Financial Information Center in Beijing.
According to an agreement signed between China Economic Information Service (CEIS) and the Export-Import Bank of China at the above forum on March 25, the two sides will jointly build the "Belt and Road Sustainability Solutions Showcase Center" to bring together mature practices from China's competitive industries, helping more Global South countries and Belt and Road partner countries understand and adopt sustainability solutions, while also assisting more Chinese enterprises in enhancing their international competitiveness and entering global markets.
