
BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua Silk Road) -- The 2026 Global South Financiers Forum is scheduled to be held from March 25 to 26 in Beijing.
Themed "Illuminating Global South," the event this year will focus on the core topic of "leading green liquidity of international capital." It will bring together leaders of financial institutions, experts, and industry leaders from both China and abroad to explore financial development models that align with the needs of the Global South, injecting new momentum into global economic stability and prosperity.
It is learned that the forum council will be launched as a long-term operational mechanism for the forum, which will form regular mechanisms for agenda setting, resource coordination, and cooperation facilitation throughout the year.
Meanwhile, an index focusing on the green trade development in Global South countries will be released at the forum. An exhibition center for the sustainability solutions will be inaugurated and the third Conference of the Belt and Road Economic Information Partnership (BREIP) will be announced.
Moreover, through keynote speeches, expert lectures, and roundtable discussions, representatives from international organizations, financial regulatory bodies, financial institutions, think tanks, universities, and major corporations will be invited to discuss key issues such as "green capital liquidity."
In addition, an international journal on Global South Finance will be rolled out at the forum, aiming to enhance the voice of the Global South in international financial affairs.
The forum will be hosted by the Brand Work Office of Xinhua News Agency, China Economic Information Service (CEIS), National Financial Information Center, China Securities Journal, Shanghai Securities News, Economic Information Daily, and China Fortune Media Group, with Fenjiu Group as the premier partner and the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) as the strategic partner.
