SUVA, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Post Fiji and the China Cultural Center in Fiji jointly issued a set of commemorative stamps marking the upcoming Chinese New Year of the Horse in the capital city of Suva on Tuesday evening.

While addressing the launch ceremony, Charan Jeath Singh, Fiji's Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs, Culture, Heritage and Arts, said that the horse symbolizes vitality, perseverance and progress. He expressed hope that the Year of the Horse would usher in continued cooperation, deeper cultural exchange and an enduring friendship between Fiji and China.

Wang Yuan, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji, said the celebration not only enhanced the festive atmosphere but also built a bridge for people-to-people exchanges, bringing the two nations closer together.

"These exquisite stamps, designed with intricate artistry, capture the majestic horse in a joyful galloping stance, inspiring us all to gallop forward with optimism and grace," said Isaac Mow, Chief Executive Officer of Post Fiji.

Mow noted that this marks the 11th consecutive year that Fiji and China have jointly issued Chinese zodiac stamps.
