TASHKENT, Jan. 19 (Xinhua Silk Road) -- A Chinese-Uzbek logistics base and exhibition center for product exchange will be established in Tashkent.
According to the Tashkent city administration, an agreement was reached through a memorandum of cooperation between Tashkent City Directorate for the Management of Industrial Zones and the Shihezi National Economic and Technological Development Zone of China, paving the way for the establishment of the joint facility.
The memorandum also provides for strengthening mutual trade and cooperation between residents of industrial zones in Uzbekistan and China, the attraction of investment, the expansion of bilateral trade volumes, and the implementation of modern technologies through information sharing.
"This memorandum will contribute to the further enhancement of Tashkent city's industrial potential, the development of international cooperation, and the implementation of new investment projects," Tashkent city administration said.
