BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Yongtai County Power Supply Company successfully completed the load transfer and upgrading of a new transformer platform at the Huhou Substation in Songkou Town on Dec. 8.
By utilizing "live-line" operation methods, the company maintained continuous power supply for all residents, merchants, and enterprises throughout the process, achieving its goal of "zero-perception" maintenance for the local community.
To ensure the reliability of the regional grid, the company's Songkou Power Supply Station conducted advanced planning, including a specialized seminar with live-line operation and maintenance teams. Technicians analyzed grid data and user load characteristics to formulate a detailed implementation plan and emergency protocols before beginning the work.
On the day of the operation, the live-line team, equipped with professional insulating gear, performed key line connections and load transfers at height while the system remained energized. Simultaneously, a low-voltage guarantee team monitored line loads on-site to identify potential hazards. The teams achieved a seamless connection between load protection and switching operations, completing all scheduled tasks.
The project is part of the company's ongoing effort to modernize the distribution network and optimize the regional business environment. Moving forward, State Grid Yongtai County Power Supply Company plans to conduct regular inspections of weak links in the grid to provide stable power support for rural revitalization and regional economic development.
