BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- An international communication program that will invite influencers worldwide to visit and experience the busy atmosphere and the in-depth synergy of industrial chains in core cities alongside the China Railway Express (CRE) routes has been officially launched.
The program, titled "China Railway Express Cargo Trace", was planned by China Economic Information Service and was launched at the parallel forum of the Second China Railway Express Cooperation Forum held on November 18 in Xi'an, the capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
Under the program, influencers including government officials, scholars, entrepreneurs and media staff worldwide will be invited as "observers" and "witnesses". Starting from the overseas markets they are familiar with, the participants will visit core node cities along the CRE routes. From assembly centers to source enterprises, they will experience the busy yet orderly operations of freight yards, witness the sophisticated workflows in production workshops, and gain firsthand insight into the in-depth synergy of industrial chains.
A professional film crew will accompany the participants throughout the tour to produce a series of micro-videos highlighting important journey moments, which will be broadcast globally.
The first batch of participants from Kazakhstan has set off from Xi'an since November 19. After visiting the CRE Xi'an Hub and related enterprises, they will travel to Lianyungang, a port city in east China's Jiangsu Province, where some important economic and trade cooperation platforms between China and Kazakhstan, including the China-Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base, are located. The participants will gain firsthand insight into the flourishing impetus the CRE has injected into the China-Kazakhstan cooperation.
Themed "Connecting Asia and Europe for a Shared Future", the Second China Railway Express Cooperation Forum also included three parallel forums focusing on efficient and safe transport, development of diversified corridors, and innovative and integrated development. The event was organized by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Transport, General Administration of Customs, China State Railway Group and Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.
