MOSCOW, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) will offer new opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs to showcase their achievements, expand business ties with China, seek reliable partners and access the international market, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
Responding to a question from Xinhua at a regular press briefing, Zakharova also wished the CIIE a complete success and said Russian products -- especially agricultural products, industrial and IT products, and high-tech equipment -- enjoy steady demand on the Chinese market.
She spoke highly of the steady increase in China's foreign trade volume amid challenges, noting that such stability is a testament to the strong dynamism of China's manufacturing sector.
The multilateral trading system plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the global economy, she added.
The eighth CIIE will take place in Shanghai from Nov. 5 to 10. The expo is the world's first national-level exhibition dedicated to imports.
