BANGKOK, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn on Friday said that Thailand is willing to expand exchanges and cooperation with China to benefit the people of both countries and promote prosperity and development in the region and the world.
The king made the remarks when he received the credential presented by the new Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei in the Dusit Palace in Bangkok.
Thailand and China are friendly neighbors, and the two peoples share a bond of brotherhood, the king said, emphasizing that Thailand is willing to expand exchanges and cooperation with China at the bilateral, regional, and international levels.
Zhang said China and Thailand are good neighbors, good friends, good relatives and good partners, adding that China has attached great importance to developing friendly relations with Thailand.
Noting that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand, Zhang said China is committed to implementing the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries and achieving more fruitful results in building the China-Thailand community with a shared future.
