BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The 2025 South and Southeast Asia Digital Cooperation Conference and Supply-Demand Matchmaking Event for Industry Trade was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand from August 28 to 29.
Jointly organized by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Yunnan Province and Thailand's Digital Economy Promotion Agency, the event attracted around 600 participants from 12 countries including China, Thailand, and Pakistan, with over 25 cooperation projects signed.
Themed on "Promoting Regional Cooperation for a Global Digital Future", the event featured one opening ceremony and 11 thematic matchmaking sessions.
Several dignitaries delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, including Liu Yong, vice governor of Yunnan Province, Piyanuch Wuttisorn, deputy permanent secretary of Thailand's Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, and Zhang Jianwei, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand.
During the event, the "joint construction of international digital harbor cooperation network" and the "youth digital development plan" were officially launched. An integrated service platform for digital expansion also went live.
Several cooperative initiatives were established, including the Innovation Center for Digital Agricultural Technology in South and Southeast Asia, the Innovation Cooperation and Development Alliance for Digital Culture and Tourism, and the Cooperation and Development Alliance for Digital Health Industry.
Thematic exchange activities focused on artificial intelligence, digital agriculture, digital transportation, and other areas were also held, aiming to strengthen cross-border digital collaboration and deepen regional digital economic development.
