BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel attended an event celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba in Beijing on Thursday.
Han said that China firmly supports Cuba's just struggle to safeguard national sovereignty and oppose external interference, and is willing to work with Cuba to implement the new important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepen political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, enhance strategic coordination and promote the development of the special friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries, so as to achieve new accomplishments in building a China-Cuba community with a shared future.
Diaz-Canel said that Cuba adheres to the one-China principle and will deepen cooperation with China in various fields at the strategic level.
