YINCHUAN, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- On early Wednesday morning, a new air route was officially inaugurated, connecting Yinchuan, the capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, to Guiyang in southwest China's Guizhou Province, and then onward to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The maiden flight took off from Yinchuan, marking the beginning of this new service.
With flights scheduled for every Wednesday and Friday, the route is operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft.
The inbound flight AQ1252, departs from Kuala Lumpur at 4:25 p.m. local time, stopping in Guiyang for about one hour and 40 minutes, and then taking off from Guiyang at 10:20 p.m. local time, arriving in Yinchuan at 00:45 midnight local time, according to Ningxia's airport authorities.
The outbound flight AQ1251 departs from Yinchuan at 7:00 a.m. local time, stopping in Guiyang for one hour and 30 minutes and then arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 2:45 p.m. local time.
The launch of this route is expected to further reduce the spatiotemporal distance between Ningxia and Southeast Asia and help Ningxia expand its international exchanges and cooperation, said the Ningxia branch of China West Airport Group.
