August 27, 2025

Abstract : An event to launch the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report of Chinese Enterprises in Myanmar 2025 was held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar recently, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar said in a statement on Tuesday.

YANGON, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- An event to launch the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report of Chinese Enterprises in Myanmar 2025 was held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar recently, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar said in a statement on Tuesday.

At the event, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia said that this is the first time that Chinese enterprises in Myanmar have released a corporate social responsibility report, which is of great significance as this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar.

In recent years, the two countries have continuously deepened cooperation in various fields under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. Chinese enterprises have actively fulfilled their social responsibilities through concrete actions, giving back to the local community, and continuously strengthening the "Paukphaw" (fraternal) friendship between China and Myanmar, she said.

Myanmar's Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Wah Wah Maung appreciated Chinese enterprises' contributions to Myanmar's economic development, particularly in infrastructure construction, education and training, healthcare, environmental protection, and earthquake relief.

She added that the ministry will continue to create a favorable business environment for Chinese enterprises and continuously deepen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, the statement added.
