BELGRADE, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Wednesday that stable and diversified cooperation with China provides Serbia with certainty and an opportunity to overcome current difficulties.
He made the remarks in a social media post following a meeting in Belgrade with a delegation from China's Jiangsu Province, which he described as "cordial and constructive."
"In the light of an increasingly complex and unpredictable world economic situation, interconnecting in all fields is becoming of strategic importance for sustainable development, stability and competitiveness," Vucic said.
He emphasized Jiangsu's role as a leading economic hub in China, noting its strong investment in innovation and technology. "This provides us with the opportunity to expand cooperation in fields such as industry, energy, agriculture, science and education through concrete projects," he said.
Vucic added that companies from Jiangsu are already operating in major cities in Serbia, including Novi Sad, Nis, and Ruma, bringing not only capital but also the latest technologies, which gives them the opportunity to influence new markets.
"Serbia always recognizes and will not forget its sincere friends and partners," Vucic said. "In complex times, we find strength in connecting, understanding, and working together to achieve common goals."
