The Serbian minister called Huawei a consistent and trusted partner in Serbia's digital transformation.
BELGRADE, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Serbia plans to expand its partnership with Chinese tech giant Huawei to improve road and rail traffic safety, the government said Tuesday.
During a meeting with company representatives, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic reaffirmed the government's commitment to using modern technology to upgrade transport systems, calling Huawei a consistent and trusted partner in Serbia's digital transformation.
Serbia's cooperation with Huawei dates back nearly a decade and has included projects in public safety, education, and digital infrastructure. The company also operates an innovation center in Belgrade, focusing on research and local talent development.
Jin Mu, deputy general director of Huawei's Serbia and Hungary office, expressed appreciation for the continued support from Serbian institutions and said he was confident about further cooperation.
