BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) -- In National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin), a recent green electricity certificates (GECs) transaction is helping the venue for the forthcoming 2025 Summer Davos access complete green power supply.
By purchasing 800 GECs from two Tianjin-located new energy power producers, the center now boasts 800,000 kWh of green electricity reserves, highly capable of enabling the diversified activities of the event due to be held during June 24-26.
From Tuesday to Thursday, the "Entrepreneurship for a New Era"-themed 16th Annual Meeting of New Champions of the World Economic Forum (2025 Summer Davos) will probe into diverse topics centered upon five aspects, namely deciphering the world economy, outlook on China, industries disrupted, investing in people and the planet, and new energy and materials.
Through these activities of the 2025 Summer Davos, the center is likely to spur more green electricity consumption by businesses as the GECs trading well exemplifies how the GECs that track and verify green power in China integrate into the international supply chain.
