Guests attend the book launch of the "Introduction on International Energy Think Tanks" in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu Province, on May 8, 2025.
Jointly unveiled by State Grid Fujian Electric Power Economic and Technology Research Institute and China Think Tank Research and Evaluation Center (CTTREC) at Nanjing University, the book features a systematic introduction on the development framework of international energy think tanks.
It provides a glimpse of the theoretical foundations, organizational practices, operation modes and regional characteristics of international energy think tanks in its 17 chapters.
Based on a multidisciplinary framework integrating political, economic, and environmental dimensions, through in-depth case studies of influential institutions such as the International Energy Agency (IEA), the book sheds light on internal mechanisms, operation modes, and development paths of international energy think tanks, providing valuable learning materials for their Chinese counterparts.
Cai Jianhuang, deputy editor-in-chief of the book, hopes that the book can serve as a systematic guide for researchers, policymakers, think tank managers, and energy governance stakeholders.
