BEIJING, Apr. 11 (Xinhua) -- In the early morning of April 8, Zhang Jianguo, a farmer in Shicao village of Zibo City, east China's Shandong Province, pressed the circuit breaker, and water was pouring into wheat fields. “It’s so efficient for the installation of electric pumps. I just sent the application yesterday,” said Zhang.
With the arrival of spring irrigation season, agricultural production has entered a busy period. State Grid Zibo Electric Power Supply Co. has simplified installation application procedures, and organized professionals to use infrared temperature measurement, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and other technical methods to inspect distribution lines to ensure safe electricity supply during spring irrigation.
After the inspection, the grid staff also explained the agricultural time-of-use electricity price policy and other safety instructions to help farmers arrange their irrigation plans and reduce costs.
In the future, State Grid Zibo Electric Power Supply Co. will accelerate the construction of agricultural distribution projects and constantly improve the reliability of power supply to further improve its services for farmers. (Edited by Liang Hengwei, lianghengwei@xinhua.org)
