BEIJING, April 2 (Xinhua) -- With the full-process one-stop services provided by State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company Linyi Power Supply Company, the 300,000-kilowatt (kW) energy-saving photovoltaic power station in Tongshi Town, Pingyi County, Linyi City of east China's Shandong Province has realized successful on-grid operation recently.
With a total investment of about 900 million yuan, the project covers an area of 7,500 mu (500 hectares). It is a major project in Shandong and the photovoltaic power station with the largest capacity in Linyi. It is expected to generate 470 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 450,000 tonnes annually.
The operation of the project will effectively increase the proportion of electricity generated by new energy in Linyi, and promote local photovoltaic power generation industry to a new level.
To secure the smooth grid connection of the power station, State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company Linyi Power Supply Company set up a service team to conduct on-site discussions and technical guidance for more than 10 times, and worked out applicable grid connection plan and power outage measures.
In recent years, the installed capacity and power output of new energy in Shandong have grown rapidly. By the end of 2024, the power grid in Shandong became the first provincial-level power grid in China with the installed capacity of wind and photovoltaic power exceeding 100 million kW. By 2025, the province's new energy installed capacity will surpass 130 million kW, achieving total power output of more than 200 billion kWh.
State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company Linyi Power Supply Company will continuously optimize the management system and process of new energy operation, provide grid connection services, scheduling and operating management, and professional supervision of grid security for new energy power stations, assisting in the green and low-carbon transformation of the local energy structure.
