ALMATY, March 28 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, visited Kazakhstan from Wednesday to Friday.
During his visit, Liu met with Kazakh political leaders, including Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakh President, Maulen Ashimbayev, chair of the Senate, Yerlan Koshanov, speaker of the Mazhilis and chairman of the Amanat Party, Murat Nurtleu, deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs and Daulet Karibek, secretary of the Amanat party, among others.
Liu also delivered a speech at the Youth Expertise Club under the Senate, introducing the CPC's efforts in leading the nation to advance the building of a strong country and national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.
Both sides expressed their commitment to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen party-to-party exchanges and practical cooperation, and comprehensively advance the China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership.
