BEIJING, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang has sent a congratulatory message to Christian Stocker on his assuming office as chancellor of Austria.
Austria is an important partner for China in Europe, Li said in the message dated March 6.
Exchanges and cooperation between the two countries are getting closer across various fields and levels, with their cultural and people-to-people exchanges being particularly vibrant, he said.
Li said he is ready to work with Stocker to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation, and elevate the China-Austria friendly strategic partnership to a new level.
