BEIJING, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Maintaining the resilience and stability of the global industrial and supply chains is crucial for world economic development and serves the common interests of people worldwide, according to Ren Hongbin, chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
Ren made the remarks in his article published in Monday's issue of Qiushi Journal, vowing that the CCPIT will further play its unique role in expanding high-level opening up and promoting international cooperation in industrial and supply chains to advance Chinese modernization.
With a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation represented by information technology, artificial intelligence and new energy profoundly evolving, digital and green transformation have become major directions for the upgrading of industrial and supply chains, Ren pointed out.
China is not only a participant and beneficiary of global industrial and supply chain cooperation, but also a firm defender and builder, Ren said, adding that building more resilient, efficient and dynamic global industrial and supply chains aligns with the development of the times and serves the interests of all parties.
