BEIJING, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Green energy transition gained momentum in northwest China's Shaanxi Province where installed power generation capacity of new energy has exceeded 50 million kW at present.
In the coal-rich province, the data accounts for 42.75 percent of the comparable aggregate of all types of on-grid power sources there, comprising of 12.78 percent of wind power, 29.35 percent of solar power, and 0.62 percent of biomass power.
Facing the development of new energy, State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Co., Ltd. spared no effort to ensure orderly development and grid connection of all types of power source programs in the principle of "grid-connection as much as possible" in recent years.
Via smart and digital technology means, the company adjusted in a timely manner start-up arrangement of related power grids and optimized the utilization efficiency of PV and wind power.
By fully leveraging its bulk power system and surplus adjustment together with other provinces, State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power supplied more green electricity to southwest and east China regions which usually faced a consumption peak in winter.
By the end of 2025, Shaanxi's installed capacity of new energy power sources is expected to mount up to 62 million kW.
