BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- China recorded 9.54 million births in 2024, an increase of 520,000 compared with 2023, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said on Friday.
The birth rate for 2024 reached 6.77 per 1,000 people, reflecting an increase of 0.38 per thousand from the previous year, according to the NBS.
