BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Linyi Power Supply Company has striven to improve living condition for residents in old urban residential communities by updating their power facilities.

For urban residential communities built over 20 years ago, stable power supply has always been a challenge. Faced with the challenge, the power supplier has continuously promoted the upgrade of power facilities of old urban residential communities with a customized approach for each one, to create a safer and more comfortable living environment for the residents.
To accelerate the upgrading process, the company coordinated all parties to take concerted efforts, starting from the preliminary inspection and statistics collection. In addition, the company also provides door-to-door service for residents, including safety inspection, knowledge dissemination and promotion of online service.
With total investment of over 58 million yuan (about 7.97 million U.S. dollars), the company has finished power facilities upgrade for 167 old urban residential communities in Linyi in recent years, providing 34,000 households with safe and stable power supplies.
