BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- The 2024 Pearl Bay International Climate Investment and Financing Conference, themed on "Global Cooperation for Green Future", will be held from December 8 to 9 in Nansha District, Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province.

Co-organized by Xinhua's brand work office, Guangdong Branch of Xinhua News Agency and China Economic Information Service, the conference will offer opportunities for participants to discuss topics like how to leverage climate investment and financing to promote the joint building of a Green Silk Road, empower new quality productive forces and foster the green transformation of energy.
It aims to attract more financial resources to invest in the field of climate change, providing support for the green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development of the economy and society.
It is introduced that the conference has set up one main venue and three overseas sub venues in Bangkok, Thailand, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico City, Mexico.
It has also set up one main forum and five special forums respectively focusing on the creation of negative ion oxygen bar cities, Green Silk Road and international cooperation, climate investment and financing empowering new quality productive forces, high-quality development of green electricity and green certificates in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and collaborative efforts to reduce pollution and carbon emissions and build a beautiful China.
Leaders of relevant departments in the global climate investment and financing field, representatives of financial institutions and enterprises, and related experts and scholars have been invited to gather in Nansha to explore international cooperation paths for green development.
During the conference, an initiative on addressing climate change, excellent cases in addressing climate change and other results will be released, the BRI Low-Carbon Service Partnership will be initiated, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Climate Change Standards Alliance will be inaugurated.
The Climate-Friendly Enterprise (Technology) Expo will be held simultaneously at the Nansha International Convention and Exhibition Center in Nansha, providing a platform for global enterprises to showcase their products and technologies.
