BEIJING, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Nansha District in south China's Guangdong Province has recently held the 2024 Nansha Global Investment Promotion and Talent Attraction Conference to attract global investment and talent, gathering 35 Fortune Global 500 companies, 42 foreign-funded enterprises, 16 foreign business associations and 15 Hong Kong and Macao business associations.
During the conference, Nansha District released sectors for investment promotion for the first time, as well as 20 distinctive industrial parks, with 15 of them focusing on advanced manufacturing, in a bid to promote the development of industrial chains and new quality productive forces, receiving widespread attention and recognition from domestic and foreign merchants and talents present.
It also revealed at the conference that currently, 43 carrier properties in Nansha District, including state-owned enterprise business office industrial parks, bonded warehouses, etc., have reduced the overall rental level by more than 15 percent, and extended the lease term to a maximum of 12 years, practically cutting burdens for enterprises seeking to invest and develop here.
As the first "international talent special zone" in China, Nansha District launched an action plan in September this year to provide up to 120,000 yuan and 1 million yuan of subsidies respectively for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral graduates and innovation and entrepreneurship projects, with over 6,000 sets of government talent housing reserved.
Covering an area of 803 square kilometers, Nansha District is 10 percent larger than Singapore, but only 25 percent of it has been developed. At present, a headquarters office building carrier of 2.6 million square meters has been built in the central urban area of Nansha for global investors.
It was revealed at the conference that Nansha District will also launch a large number of industrial land resources, and can supply 9,000 mu (6 million square meters) of land within three months and 15,000 mu (10 million square meters) of land within six months. Meanwhile, it will rely on key areas to create a demonstration zone for the integration of industrial development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), actively linking with cities in the GBA to lure more enterprises to bring capital and projects to Nansha.
