BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- When a project to replace coal-fired heating with electric heating entered operation in Shijing Town recently, grid operator in east China's Linyi City brought resilient grid-based clean heating to many local towns there.
This year, Linyi Power Supply Company, a citywide grid operator under State Grid Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd., completed 33 such projects in the city of Shandong Province and upon their operation, resilience of rural grids in 28 local towns improved much.
As a program to better serve rural people's life in winter, the company guaranteed electricity supply in the winter with pre-planning, meticulous arrangements, detailed grid renovation plans and door-to-door user visits for demand pooling.
Under the program, Linyi Power Supply Company built 4.12 km of 10 kV power lines and 16.25 km of 400 kV power lines and put in place 20 new distribution transformers with a total capacity of 6.6 megavolt ampere.
While staffs of its power supply service network are busy visiting rural households to popularize safe power use knowledge, a warm and comfortable winter is underway for many rural dwellers in Linyi City.
