BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Changji Power Supply Company has strengthened the construction of the energy big data service center and explored the building of multiple power data products in an attempt to help Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region achieve its "dual carbon" goal.
According to the analysis of company's power data products, thermal power generation still dominates the power supply structure in Changji, while the proportion of wind power and photovoltaic power generation continues to rise, accounting for more than 25 percent of the total.
In recent years, as the share of clean energy has been increasing year by year in Changji, the carbon emission factor of power generation has been declining year by year. Since the beginning of this year, the average carbon emission factor of thermal power generation has reached 824 grams per kWh, a year-on-year decrease of 0.04 percent.
Besides, the company also conducted carbon emissions analysis and energy efficiency assessment on 43 key energy-consuming enterprises in Changji in a bid to help the local government keep up with the information of carbon emissions by energy-consuming enterprises.
It is learned that the annual green energy consumption of energy-consuming enterprises in Changji has reached 246 million kWh, effectively reducing carbon emissions by 127,000 tons. And the number of green certificates purchased has reached 184,800.
In the next step, the company will further give play to the potential of power big data in energy consumption monitoring, promote Changji's low-carbon transformation, and advance the building of a beautiful Changji. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
