"I have a (magic) feeling with Xinjiang, it works for me every time," said Khaled Moussa, managing editor of the Muscat Media Group.
URUMQI, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- "People need to visit Xinjiang and witness its real image with their own eyes," said a senior media official based in Oman on Monday.
The Western media have been presenting us a negative picture of Xinjiang, said Khaled Moussa, managing editor of the Muscat Media Group. "But when we come here and see the real image of Xinjiang, it's amazing!"
Moussa made the remarks while attending the ongoing 6th World Media Summit in Urumqi, the capital city of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
"Everything has been well organized. Wherever I go, I can see traces of green development. China is taking great care of the environment," he said.
Noting that it is his second visit to Xinjiang, he praised the kindness and warmth of the local people. "Whenever you ask a question, there's always someone ready to help," he added.
Addressing the recent developments between China and Oman, he highlighted the China-Oman (Duqm) Industrial Park as a prime example of successful bilateral cooperation under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
When asked whether he would like to come back to Xinjiang again, Moussa said, "It will happen."
"I have a (magic) feeling with Xinjiang, it works for me every time," he said.
