BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, director-general of the national media office of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in Beijing on Friday.
Fu said that under the guidance of the two heads of state, China-UAE relations have developed in an all-round, rapid and in-depth way.
Xinhua is willing to work with the Emirates News Agency to strengthen cooperation on news reporting and personnel exchanges, among other areas, and to report stories of China-UAE friendly exchanges and the efforts to jointly build the Belt and Road, Fu said.
Fu hopes the two sides will strengthen coordination and cooperation under multilateral mechanisms such as the World Media Summit, and jointly play a positive role in solidifying and deepening the China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership.
Kaabi, also acting director-general of the Emirates News Agency, said that the UAE side is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with Xinhua and jointly tell the stories of friendship to help boost the development of bilateral relations.
