NEW YORK, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here Thursday that China is willing to work with Costa Rica to maintain the momentum of development of bilateral relations.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks during talks with Costa Rican Foreign Minister Arnoldo Andre Tinoco on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
He also said that the fruitful cooperation between the two countries should be cherished, which fully demonstrates that the development of bilateral ties conforms to the common interests of both sides and the trend of the times.
For his part, Andre said Costa Rica will undoubtedly continue to firmly abide by the one-China principle and maintain the political foundation of bilateral relations, adding that his country welcomes more Chinese investment in Costa Rica.
