New NEV models in China offer better experiences for tech-savvy users than before, with enhanced technology features, lower maintenance costs, a longer driving range and improved power performance. Advances in core technologies from batteries to intelligent systems and the formation of an efficient and reliable industrial chain have further enhanced the competitiveness of Chinese NEVs.

To accelerate the development of the NEV industry and sustain their competitive advantages, Chinese auto companies are striving to expand their product layout, optimize industrial chains and enhance production capacity by working with partners both at home and abroad.

At a factory in the city of Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province, new energy vehicles are rolling off the production line to meet the growing market demands.

New energy vehicles, by reducing reliance on fossil fuels, directly lower greenhouse gas emissions, playing a crucial role in meeting the global temperature control targets set by the Paris Agreement, not to mention the European Green Deal and China's carbon neutrality goal.

In 2023, China exported 4.91 million vehicles, marking a year-on-year growth of 57.9 percent. Among these, 1.203 million were NEVs, representing a 77.6 percent increase. This milestone establishes China as the world's largest automobile exporter for the first time, highlighting that China's NEVs are earning strong recognition both at home and abroad.
