BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Changzhou, a city famed as "Dragon City" in east China's Jiangsu Province, realized integrated processing of seven different life-related governmental services for locals from September 23.
Debuting ahead of its peers in the province, Changzhou's new one-stop governmental service brings more convenience for local residents and businesses as it enables simultaneous handling of power and water supply, radio and TV service, drainage and heating supplies.
It is a typical and pragmatic measure taken by the locality to actively respond to Chinese regulators' requirements on "accomplishing one task for people with high efficiency".
As an integral part of the one-stop service, power supply service supported also by State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd., a provincial grid operator, provides local clients with access to a provincial-level platform where client applications information and progress of the integrated processing are shared online.
Based on these out of the company's data connections with the provincial projects administration system, intermediate services are trimmed by 85 percent and materials required herein decrease by 96 percent, resulting in a 76 percent cut in the time needed for tackling such service there.
From application to actual using, it took merely less than one month to enjoy complete drainage system connection, introduced Yin Bo, a project executive of the soon-to-be-operational Nantian Training Center in Changzhou, who spoke highly of the new one-stop governmental service.
In the past, it demanded, as Yin recalled, at least 3-4 months to conclude the entire process of similar drainage system connection through applications with not only local drainage authorities, but also the power and water supply regulators.
Now in State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power's local power supply service hall in Changzhou, Yin only needs to type in his project name in a tailored zone on Jiangsu's governmental services portal and a work order for the one-stop service is created and transferred simultaneously to other related local authorities.
On the day when his power facilities installation order was sent to local grid operator, Yin found that plans for Nantian Training Center's power access and water supply and drainage service were mapped out just on the same day.
These are attributable to the efficient formation of a joint service team established by State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company, local water supplier and drainage service provider upon receiving the installation order from local authorities.
Within three days, related procedures were concluded for Nantian Training Center, according to Yin.
In the future, more convenient one-stop governmental services are expectable in Changzhou City.
Currently, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power is exploring ways to expand its "power supply+" service scenarios by working to promote data and information interconnection with more local governmental service platforms.
