BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- When study tours still prevailed across the country, a power science museum in Linyi City of Shandong Province became a favored attraction for local citizens recently.
During September 15-25, Linyi Power Science Museum welcomed local people thronging its fascinating exhibition halls with multiple power science-related study tour activities to echo with the National Science Popularization Day-themed events across China.
Via interactive experiences, application scenario replication and integrated exhibition and teaching activities, the museum provides the locals with an ideal access to discover, learn about, employ and innovate power science.
Walking into the museum, local citizens, especially children, are always captivated by the diverse range of contents on display, ranging from basic power knowledge, modern power technologies, safe power utilization, and energy saving and low-carbon development philosophies.
Responsible for the museum's daily maintenance and oral introduction work, Linyi Power Supply Company arranged, apart from regular activities, two on-site oral introduction sessions every day from September 15 to 25 when the museum was open to the public for free.
Drawing a large crowd of locals, in particular teenagers during the period, the interesting Q&A sessions and gifts-winning activities inspired more junior citizens to delve into power science in Linyi City.
Open to the public in November, 2023, Linyi Power Science Museum is a public space supported by Linyi Association for Science & Technology and Linyi Power Supply Company under State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company to enlarge local power science knowledge popularization.
