Exhibition goods from New Zealand, Vanuatu shipped to China for CIIE

September 18, 2024

Abstract : A shipping container loaded with products from New Zealand left the Port of Auckland on Sunday for the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2024, and is expected to arrive in Shanghai in mid-October.

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- A shipping container loaded with products from New Zealand left the Port of Auckland on Sunday for the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2024, and is expected to arrive in Shanghai in mid-October.

On the same day, the container exhibit counter of Vanuatu, a South Pacific island country participating in the CIIE, has also departed from Port Vila. It will set sail again after transiting in Tauranga Port, New Zealand, and is expected to arrive in Shanghai in late October.

The CIIE, in its seventh edition this year, will be held in Shanghai on Nov. 5-10.

COSCO Shipping Lines New Zealand has provided exhibit transportation services to New Zealand exhibitors for the seventh consecutive year. Its managing director Kang Xiaoyu told Xinhua that her team in New Zealand had been preparing for the shipment for quite a long time.

"Relying on the huge influence of the CIIE, many companies that originally transported exhibits through us have developed into our high-quality customers. We also look forward to bringing more customers into the Chinese market with the help of the seventh CIIE."

Encouraged by this, Vanuatu continued to introduce more exhibition products at this year's CIIE, including coffee, mineral water, essential oils, chocolate and traditional local handcrafted items.
