BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Cai Qi, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Tuesday met with Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, who is in Beijing for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
China is willing to work with Chad to speed up implementing the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, and jointly promote the development of China-Chad strategic partnership, said Cai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.
President Deby expressed appreciation for China's assistance to the stability and development of Chad, saying that Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest in Chad.
