BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Recently, staff members of State Grid Linyi Power Supply Company, a branch of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company, has conducted a "diagnosis" for power equipment of the People's Hospital in Junan County of Linyi City, east China's Shandong Province, in a bid to help optimize the hospital's power use efficiency and eliminate potential power safety hazards.

In order to further strengthen the scientific, standardized and institutionalized management of power consumption by public institutions, State Grid Linyi Power Supply Company was scheduled to provide free on-site energy efficiency diagnosis services for key public institutions in Linyi from July to September, analyze the operating efficiency of energy-consuming equipment, scientifically evaluate the level of energy utilization and give helpful suggestions for public institutions to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.

To accurately cater to the needs of public institutions, the State Grid has formulated tailor-made solutions for public institutions, encouraged them to implement energy-saving technology transformation and energy substitution to improve the efficiency of energy allocation and utilization.

Up to now, the State Grid branch has provided on-site energy efficiency diagnosis services for about 105 public institutions in the city, helping those public institutions save 5.8 million kWh of electricity and solve about 16 electricity problems.
