BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited (HDEC), a subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) Abu Dhabi branch, has formed a consortium with Al Ajban Solar PV Holdings, inking an EPC contract for the 1.5 gigawatts (GW) Abu Dhabi Al Ajban solar PV power project.
The contract involves around 755 million US dollars, or about 5.384 billion yuan.
Located in the Al Ajban area of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the project focuses on the design, construction, procurement, installation, debugging, trial operation, as well as operation and maintenance within the 24-month warranty period of a 1,500 megawatts (MW) photovoltaic power plant and a 400 kilowatts (KW) substation.
