HARARE, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwean internet access provider Dandemutande on Thursday officially launched a partnership deal with Chinese telecommunications company China Telecom to provide faster internet connectivity for Chinese businesses in the southern African country.
Never Ncube, chief executive officer of Dandemutande, said the partnership enables Chinese businesses in Zimbabwe to get fast and reliable bandwidth from Zimbabwe back to China.
Dandemutande, an information and communication technology solutions provider and internet access provider, has a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, including internet connectivity solutions, data center services, and cloud solutions.
Ncube said the company's partnership with China Telecom ensures that there is a dedicated line specifically for Chinese businesses, which reduces latency.
"It will enhance productivity, but more importantly, it will make them be able to connect to the other services that are in the data centers or in the clouds that are in China," said Ncube.
In addition, he said Dandemutande is eager to utilize its partnership with China Telecom to expand its services.
Zhang Guangzhu, managing director of China Telecom South Africa, said the Chinese firm is always committed to enhancing connectivity in Africa.
"We are providing global low latency transmission solutions for our partner customers. Through this, we ensure that our partners, our customers, have the services they are expecting," he said at the launching ceremony.
Zhang added that as a major player in cloud service provision, China Telecom is eager to work with its local partner to provide cloud services.
