CHENGDU, July 19 (Xinhua) -- An all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado hybrid equipped with additional technology on Friday rolled off the production line at the Japanese company's facility in Chengdu, China.
The sports utility vehicle (SUV) model has a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that boasts strong off-road excursion abilities.
The joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and leading Chinese automaker First Automotive Works (FAW) Group Co. is Toyota's only comprehensive production base in China, and it integrates the manufacturing of cars, SUVs and buses.
To date, the Chengdu base has produced and sold more than 11 million vehicles, and created more than 800,000 jobs along its industrial chain.
